3rd Annual Vision Clinic 5K

The 3rd annual Vision Clinic 5K was held on Saturday, September 27th. This fundraising event for Optometry Giving Sight will allow 700 people to receive eye exams and eye glasses! Optometry Giving Sight is the only global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error–simply the need for an eye exam and a pair of glasses!

Our 5K helps to bring doctors, staff, patients, community and business partners together to help make a larger impact in this incredible endeavor. More donations are coming in, but we expect the final fundraising total to be approximately $3500.

The doctors and staff of the Vision Clinic believe in the mission of Optometry Giving Sight and started the 5K in 2012 to increase awareness and support. Marsha Larimer, Vision Clinic-Nixa manager, was our 2014 race director and did a fantastic job organizing the event for our clinic. Race day was beautiful and we are so thankful to everyone who participated in the race and helped make it a success!
